A wee bakery on Water Row
We bake pastries and breads by hand every morning, so what you see in the display is what came out of our ovens that day. People come from across Glasgow for the ham and cheese pan suisse, the lemon meringue pastry and a flat white to go with it, and yes, there is often a queue at the weekend. It is worth the wait.
We are proud to be part of Govan. Whether you sit in for coffee and a pastry or grab something for the walk along the river, you will get the same fresh bakes and the same friendly welcome every time.

A few things visitors often ask before they pop in.
Is there usually a queue?
At busy times, especially weekends, there can be a queue out the door. It moves quickly and the bakes are worth it. If you would rather avoid the rush, come in early not long after we open.
Can I sit in, or is it takeaway only?
Both. It is a nice big cafe with room to sit in for coffee and a pastry, and you are just as welcome to take everything away, handy if it is a sunny day for the steps or a walk by the river.
Is the bakery wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we have a wheelchair accessible entrance. If you need a hand with anything while you are here, just ask one of the team.
Do the pastries sell out?
Because everything is baked fresh each morning, popular bakes can sell out later in the day. Coming earlier gives you the best pick of the display.
Do you do coffee to take away?
We do. Our speciality coffee is made to sit in or take away, so grab a cup to go with a fresh pastry.
